Trader Navigator
The Trader Navigator is where you define your company and your product or service traders within TradeFox to align your business to global standards used by the majority of Nations to analyse local and overseas trade. The business name in the top Toolbar, e.g. Machinery King Pty Ltd is the trading name you entered on your subscription form. The drop down arrow to the right of that name contains a list of all locations for that trading name listed under multiple subscriptions.
The Trader Navigator contains the hierarchical groups of trader definitions defined at the 4 digit level, e.g. 2213 Publishing of music that is linked to the types of products you may manufacture. Notice in the right view that not all HS Codes relate to the type of trader 2213. If you made these products also you would define your company as more than one type of ISIC manufacturer. TradeFox uses global standards and these standards are used by other countries to further categorise local traders within the global code, e.g. split out types of manufacturers within the 2213 definition. People familiar with these codes can use the drop down to select the type of code, enter the number in the trader code input field then use the Filter button to be taken to the equivalent trader in the TradeFox Navigator Selecting a country in the Filter on the Toolbar, e.g. Australia will allow you to view the equivalent import or export tariff and any tariff notes for the selected HS Code. The ISIC Report under 2213 Publishing of music is present in all ISIC level codes in the Trader Navigator and creates a total industry view combining local tariff and trade rules for every HS Code under each ISIC Code into one preview screen and is discussed separately. The same classification process allows a subscriber to add their service and product traders into the BUY and SELL zones of their Visual Supply Chain. Company details down to locations and staff details can be added through the "My Traders" Form. Traders can be defined back to raw materials and forward through distribution to the consumer. |
