Feature Summary
Library: There are three library menus; Customs, Quarantine and Tax & Excise that place selected books into the left Library Navigator where you expand down to a topic title and click it to view the full topic in the central view
Navigators: Three Navigators give access to topics from the Library, Search and Favourites. The library navigator on the left can be shared with either the favourites or search navigator on the right to display topics in the central view. The navigators can be widened to increase the visible content or they can be closed to give full wide screen topic views.
Favourites: The favourites feature allows collection of topics from browse or search into a single research collection that reduces the need to keep opening books to review related topics
Search: The search feature lets you search a single book or a selection or right across the library
Go To Heading: Simply enter a 4 digit tariff code and the system displays that topic in the central view
Anchor Topic: This feature provides a view of two selected topics where you can compare them to help rule in or rule out competing or similar research topics or to simply view different paragraphs in the same long topic side by side. You can bring topics into the left view from the library, search or favourites navigator or the Go to Heading feature or from hyperlinks within text
Hyperlinks and Tooltips: Where tariff headings are referenced in the text of import or export schedules or notes or in the Harmonised system you can move the mouse over the heading codes to read the related text in a tooltip and click the hyperlink if you wish to view the full topic
Tariff Tabs: Provide a powerful way to view topics that are related to the same tariff chapter, heading or other tariff level that may be of use in evaluating the duty, exemptions or other rules of compliance. All topics show in the same central view or you can anchor the same topic and review the tariff topic beside its related tabbed topics
Printing and Emailing: You can currently print or email selected topics from any of the navigators. You can also email the current topic in view or you may select a paragraph or full topic and copy it into a Word file or your own email system. Our print and email features use a full word processor so you can paste text from other files or type text prior to printing or emailing topics
